Three Pillars About Program Pricing Results Schedule Enroll Now

Your student deserves holistic preparation for college.

College readiness isn't just about academics. While other families focus solely on grades and test scores, we prepare students to thrive across three essential dimensions: their academic performance, emotional resilience, and social confidence. The result: students who don't just survive freshman year—they flourish.

Transformative Path Coaching

The Three Pillars of Student Success

Most coaching focuses on one dimension. We address all three—because college success requires growth in every area.

📚

Academic Growth

The foundation for college success. We teach students the practical academic skills that high school doesn't explicitly address:

  • College-level note-taking strategies
  • Active reading and textbook comprehension
  • Study systems that actually work for college rigor
  • Professor relationships and communication
  • Time management for college workload
  • Self-advocacy and academic independence
💭

Emotional Growth

The often-overlooked foundation for thriving. We help students develop the emotional intelligence and resilience needed for independence:

  • Managing the emotional transition to independence
  • Stress management and self-care strategies
  • Building confidence and self-efficacy
  • Navigating failure and setbacks productively
  • Emotional regulation under academic pressure
  • Developing intrinsic motivation and ownership

These Three Pillars Work Together

A student might ace every class (academic growth) but struggle with homesickness (emotional growth), limiting their ability to build friendships (social growth). Or they might be socially confident but academically unprepared, leading to stress and self-doubt. True college success requires development across all three dimensions. That's what sets Transformative Path Coaching apart.

Why Transformative Path Coaching

Four decades of experience in both high school and higher education inform every aspect of how we prepare students for holistic college success

The Reality No One Is Talking About

Today's students have grown up with instant answers available on demand. Google, AI tools, and smartphones have quietly replaced the foundational academic skills that college still requires: sitting through a lecture, taking handwritten notes, and reasoning through a problem without reaching for a device.

Many professors have responded by banning electronics entirely. That means your student will be expected to perform, independently and on paper, from the first day of class. No search bar. No AI assist. No autocomplete.

This is not a criticism of your student or the world they grew up in. It is a candid description of a gap that exists, and that most families do not discover until grades come back.

College professors will not slow down or adjust their pace to close that gap. That responsibility falls on your student, and the window to build those skills is narrow.

The Grade Shock Is Real

The student who earned straight A's throughout high school is often the most at-risk freshman. High school success, especially in an era of widespread AI-assisted work, does not always translate to college readiness. When that student receives their first B or C — or worse — they frequently have no framework for processing it. They have never learned how to recover from academic setbacks, advocate for themselves with a professor, or adapt their approach. Without preparation, that shock can spiral into self-doubt and withdrawal.

What Coaching Actually Builds

Transformative Path Coaching addresses the skills that neither high school nor AI can build for your student: the ability to listen actively, engage with instructors in person, manage time without external structure, regulate stress, and build authentic relationships on campus. These are human skills — and they are more important than ever. Whether individual or small group, every session is tailored to your student's specific strengths, gaps, and growth areas across all three pillars.

Leigh Range brings more than four decades of hands-on experience in both secondary and higher education to every coaching engagement. She holds lifetime Texas certifications in Elementary Education, Elementary Reading, Secondary History, and Secondary English, and has taught at every level — from AP World History and AP Psychology in high school to dual-credit U.S. History and English Composition at North Central Texas College, Arts and Humanities at Muskingum University, and World History at Zane State College.

Her higher education career at Muskingum University placed her at the center of academic administration and student success. Serving as Assistant Academic Dean, she developed and coordinated the First-Year Experience Program and coordinated the Arts and Humanities Program — the very programs designed to help freshmen survive and thrive during their critical first year on campus. That insider knowledge of what colleges expect but rarely teach explicitly is the foundation of everything Transformative Path Coaching delivers.

Named Teacher of the Year at Sanger ISD in 2018, Leigh has guided thousands of students through the academic and personal challenges of high school and the transition to college. Her approach is practical, evidence-based, and grounded in decades of direct student interaction — not theory.

“Leigh was one of the most influential teachers of my years in high school. Even into my college years, I continuously went back to her for advice. She mentored, challenged and encouraged me in ways that I am still thankful for today.

Now that she is coaching in an official capacity, advising young adults going into college life, I can only imagine the impact she will have on so many.

Go to Leigh. Seek her out. It will be worth it.”

“Most teachers share knowledge. A rare few shape the people who receive it. Leigh Range is, without question, one of those rare educators. With lessons that extend far beyond the academic status quo, she has an extraordinary ability to cultivate the qualities that truly define a capable person. Academia matters, of course—but so do the traits needed to complete a well-rounded, successful human: social awareness, resilience, the ability to manage stress, and the confidence to navigate life’s challenges with grace. People with this kind of influence are in the business of growing people—and grow, I did. Looking back, this is where her impact resonates most deeply within me. I can’t think of a better mentor, educator, or friend—and if you’re fortunate enough to work with her, you too will understand why.”

“I had the opportunity to observe Leigh Range’s work with students while she was an educator at Sanger High School, and her ability to prepare them for the transition from high school to college was exceptional. Through the intentional use of strategies such as Socratic Seminar and the Cornell Method of note-taking, she strengthened students’ critical thinking, organization, and information retention while building meaningful relationships that fostered trust and confidence. Leigh understood that college readiness extends beyond academics—she actively coached students on navigating social expectations, building relationships with professors, and managing the emotional shifts that come with increased independence. In a time when many institutions are returning to more traditional, device-free learning environments, she was ahead of the curve in preparing students to think, write, and engage without reliance on technology. Her passion for helping students grow into capable, connected, and resilient young adults was evident in everything she did.”

“The more than two years I had Ms. Range as a teacher and mentor were influential. She taught me important life skills, such as note-taking, public speaking, and researching information. I use these skills every day, from being a top finalist in the UIL regional Extemporaneous Speaking competition to serving in the United States military. Now in college, I continue to apply these skills and am making great progress. I am grateful to Ms. Range for all she has taught me!”

“Throughout my son’s time in her classroom, Ms. Range consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to advocating for her students, especially as they transitioned from high school into college and young adulthood. She went beyond academics to ensure her students felt supported, encouraged, and prepared for the next stage of their lives. Whether it was helping them navigate postsecondary plans, offering guidance during moments of uncertainty, or simply being a steady and trusted presence, she always put her students’ best interests first. Her ability to provide thoughtful guidance and genuine support played an important role in helping her students make positive, responsible choices as they grew into confident young adults.”
